Helluva Cruise was established in 1983 by Mr. John Colone, former owner of John Colone Chrysler Plymouth. Mr. Colone has a sixteen year history of fundraising for charity by means of Helluva Cruise. It’s a “Helluva Cruise”, because the cruise travels through Hell, MI. The 2005 Helluva Cruise saw over 350 cars participate in the event and thousands attended as spectators.

Howell Michigan Challenge Balloonfest is one of the premier summer-time activities in Michigan with balloon launches and entertainment for the entire family. Events include skydiving, stunt kites, an arts festival, bands, singing, a medieval villiage, and much more. In downtown Howell balloonfest visitors have a chance to participate in many family games and activities.

Howell Jaycees Melon Festival is an annual event hosted by the Howell Jaycees, who are a group of young adults aged 21-40 that enjoy fun social activities and community service. The event has long been recognized as one of the premier events in Livingston County and is located throughout the Historic Downtown Howell, featuring Michigan's largest small town parade.

Fowlerville Fair is one of the state's oldest and most consistent community fairs. Events include the auction of farm animals raised by 4H members, demolition derby, beauty queen contests, carnival rides and games, circus performances, country bands and singers, races, and more. It's a great event for the whole family.

Concerts on the Brighton Mill Pond are held on Sundays in July & August. The Kiwanis Club of Brighton has been offering concerts on the Mill Pond for 30 years. During the event Main Street in Brighton is reserved for classic cars. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm and refreshments are available.

The good thing about brighton is that there are a lot of waterfront properties. Some of these properties have victorian homes on them. I don't really know what era does, but I guess they sell homes. Maybe condos too.
